Mr Low's wedding. It's the usual ceremony, only that there was a bit of informality. I'm actually quite surprised by the Christian practices. Didn't seem to be the same as compared to the time when I was in kindergarten. The way they pray, the way they pronounce Amen, what they call God in Chinese, and the lack of solemnity in the prayers. Maybe it's the church. Idk.
HOORAY FOR QIFA!!! With a score of 290, Qifa produced a top scorer in this year's PSLE!!! Now what. My father just stuck a deal with me that when I finish reading the 3 science books during the holiday, he would get me an DSLR camera. That'll be like around 40 pages a day. Worse than studying for History. Ahh... And later my mother doesn't approve of it ("What's the use of finishing 3 books? And a DSLR camera so expensive! Waste money!"). I don't want what happened after PSLE to happen again. And now I feel forced to read the books. I don't want to turn into a bookworm or a mugger. :X -10:21:00 PM

Yay, watched Sing Out with Wailun. Quite a cool concert, especially the second part. The singing wasn't that fantastic, but it was entertaining to watch. Only that the emcees can't be heard. The tickets were free, but I paid quite a lot for the taxi fare since it was peak hours, and the driver drove through 2 ERP gantries -.- And I survived the night with 2 Hotbake sandwiches. Cold ones. Nothing's better than that.
Well, if I get into CSE, and we need laptops, I would obviously have to get one, or work out some solution. This laptop is the only usable computer at home, and if I get another, it may be a netbook, since it's cheap. And I want a Mac. Mac is so cool, and I'm kind of sick of Windows. But Macbooks aren't that cheap. The cheapest in NUS costs $2158, and not with such fantastic specs. My parents would obviously not agree to that. And if my father decides to get an iMac or whatever desktop Mac, my mother would have extreme trouble using it, and I'd be bringing this laptop to school everyday. When will I ever get to get a Mac? -2:26:00 PM

Weekends! Everyday's (supposedly) the same in the holidays, but weekends are still more fun somehow.
Helped dismantle the wall fan for cleaning today. It's hell dirty and sticky. And duh I had to fix it back after my mother cleaned the parts. My fear was that I didn't assemble it properly and one fine day the blades just fly out (maybe the day wouldn't be that fine anymore). But so far it worked normally. Did some touch-ups to iSheet template, but I still can't fix the darn link pictures. And the "Shut Down" button doesn't work in Firefox. So I guess I'll have to resort to putting a "Best viewed in IE" there. Worked quite okay in Chrome, but didn't want to take risks. Still didn't dare change my current one, since I'm using Firefox :X Weiheng just said that 2I4 peeps would never visit the class blog and I should just drop it. Well, let's observe for a while first. SMP Results in 4 days. Sec 3 options results in about 1.5 weeks. Desperate. Now, my holiday checklist. Just realised I didn't really create a formal one. I have been jogging a few times a week, so exercise - check. Practise piano, I'm not so sure, especially the aural and scales. I'm going to die. Read books, I just finished The Summons. An abrupt ending, OMG, not very nice. Moving on to The King of Torts. But I kind of dread reading those random "core readers" I've bought in the past 2 years as part of the booklist. They seem so weird. Nevertheless reading - check. But not any science books... Sorry dad. And sorting out certs, I haven't even touched them. Should I believe in God? -10:42:00 PM

iSheet template is done. It isn't as fanciful as I wanted it to be, but I think it's a good enough effort. Screwed up thing is that the buttons look pixellated in Firefox. The background paper seems a little fake too, but I can't do much about that. Let's see how it goes.

Ok, class blog is created. Now just hope everyone accepts author invitation and gives positive feedback, and last but not least use it appropriately. Hehe
Just tried an aural Test D on the CD, and I realised that I'm obviously approaching this the wrong way. And how on earth am I supposed to listen to this correctly if I can't spot any dynamics thanks to the earphone and soundtrack, and I can't listen clearly thanks to my sister blasting the TV? Exam in about 2+ months. I'm quite worried. My sister never lets me practise when she's watching TV, and she's on the TV almost all the time. How screwed can this be? -5:18:00 PM

Aha. Week 3 of holidays. That was really fast.
Haven't really done much so far. I guess half the time I have been in school, and the other half it's either sleep or slack. Have to start doing something useful. Geez, I'd better abandon the 2I4 Egroup, or else we'll be spamming teachers if we decide to use it for communication in future. Set up a class blog? We have around 3 or 4, I think. No other effective medium. I'll just try blogging bah. Is there sectionals tomorrow? Jared's away, and Aaron is taking forever to simply just reply to an SMS. The usual. Mr Low's wedding. Trying very hard to collate the namelist for a few classes, together with Jay. For heaven's sake STOP LAGGING!!! lol. Getting desperate here. Hope all names will be in by tonight, or else my mother's gonna slaughter me for phone bills. :X But I'll worry about that later. THIMUN Performance was quite cool. Audience clapped at the absolute wrong moments. Diminuendo, then they'll start clapping. A pause, clap clap clap. For 3 pieces we got about 6 rounds of applause. Got 3 for Williams, I think. And saw a guest sitting in front staring at the cellos doing pizzicato with that surprised face. Oh man, this audience obviously knows a lot of music. I can't believe facebook seemed so interesting during EOY exams period, yet now it's just yet another boring website, other than when people tag you and post on your wall or whatnot. Great, friend suggestions thing has stopped. Hope it won't just appear again. Ah, passwords. Fancy having so many accounts linked up with openID, then forgetting the openID password. How ingenious. -.- Too many passwords to remember, especially those random restrictions which are different in every website. Now I just tried openID in Livejournal. And gave up. Not because I can't log in, more of because Livejournal seems too messy and flooded with ads to be used. Let's just stick to blogger. Wow. My holiday tasks. Haven't really started on any. I wish myself luck. iSheet blogskin. Got a feeling it's gonna be super screwed, but still worth a try. Now when shall I carry on with it... 2012. I want to watch. But when? -2:41:00 PM

Boring holiday.
Returning to school so often. Well, at least the peak was over. But the holiday has been nothing much other than spending time in school. I think the thing that I'm looking forward to currently would be the choir performance at VCH, probably because it's when I can hang out with someone from 2I4 (Wailun). I'll really miss 2I4. Ahh THIMUN performance. I have a feeling I'll screw up, cos I didn't really go for practices, and there weren't a lot of them. I wish myself luck. The Summons by John Grisham. It's quite an exciting book, but the hook only came when you're like a third into the book. First few chapters were really boring. Hope the King of Torts won't be like this. Class EOYA. Currently we have about $150+ provided the three pay up. Can organise something quite cool, but what??? They're sick of bowling, a movie won't be "bonding" enough, other activities just seem too random and troublesome. Geez. Oh, iLounge SOP. I realised that I haven't really touched on it recently. I guess I'd better soon, or else... Kind of addicted to TV shows now. Gotta go watch. Cya. -4:44:00 PM

December holidays? What holidays?
These 2 months are super packed. Just this week I have to go to school for 4 days in a row. And I don't know what's coming up next. Bilingual Talent Camp for P5. I'm like the admin secretary. Making name tags, making signages, and tomorrow I have to go for saikang. And on my own. Kai Sherng initially agreed before the holidays to help, but now he claims that he doesn't want to go to school simply for an hour or two, and that he has EP3 on Thursday and Friday. Wei Heng also said he could help, but now he has this random leadership summit thing. Keith offered to help too, but when I told him Kai Sherng was helping out he booked these days with his Library duty. Jun Hong and Wai Lun have St. Johns training which I believe are super strict and so they can't take leave. And Yongming is in China. There aren't anymore reliable bilingual people in our class left (other than Leslie who also has St Johns I think, and I doubt he'll do this just for the CIP and nothing else). I hope I won't have to tank the work on the event itself, which is this Thursday and Friday. All these crap must pop up at the last minute. How sad. Class BBQ!!! The printing went on extremely fine, and didn't really take very long. We got the cake and reached Kai Sherng's house on time, and everything started promptly. We managed to get the fire started in 20min, which was a great achievement to me, compared to 6E'07 BBQ at Puijeng's place. Took like 2 hours to start up the fire that time, and failed? We wasted 2 packets of charcoal and 3 boxes of starters, I think, and in the end the adults came to help and we only started eating at about 10pm. This time, we only used 1 box of starters, with one left, and just a little more than one packet of charcoal (and the catering company gave us 3). Everything went on quite fine, other than the teachers... Miss Huang (with Mr Yap) and Mr Krison came rather early, but left at about 6.30pm. Mr Tan came at about 6pm, and he left the latest, at around 9pm. Xie Lao Shi came rather late because she rushed back from Malaysia, and amazingly she didn't know about the details of the party. She brought her husband. And she asked us to invite Ms Choh and Dr Tan, who replied that they were very busy, but one would try to make it. In the end they didn't, and we were still trying to keep the fire burning and food cooking when everyone was so full. I more or less tanked the cooking (: and I didn't eat a lot. Good way of controlling my diet! And my notes went on quite well. Only Edward opened it on the spot, as expected. And Wai Lun was totally surprised. But the whole thing was quite fail, because I wanted to do more. Didn't have time, darn it. iRetreat! It was totally fun! For once it was 2 to a room, so I shared a room with Wai Lun. On the bus we sat together and played with Yau Xuan and Keith. It was really great for bonding, and I hope it could be longer next time. Being random on the bus, spam photos, late night games... We knew one another better. It was like the best days in the whole year. Really missed it... Hope there will be more opportunities like this, especially with these people. The end of the year. Goodbye to 2I4. Thanks for those wonderful memories, and for allowing me to be your monitor (however I failed as one). I wish I can go through one more year in the same class. Wai Lun, Yongming, Jun Hong, Matthew Lee - the people whom I always hang out with; Kai Sherng - my buddy; Wei Heng, Keith, Yongming - the councillors; Wei Heng, Wai Lun, Keith, Jun Hong, Shan Yao - the CMC; and everyone else. I'll always remember this class. It simply owns. In these 2 years sometimes I felt that it's a hopeless class I'm in, and that I'm going to leave this class feeling like I have left jail, but now when I think back, it's just such a wonderful bunch of people and a fantastic two years we had together. Whatever crap we've been through, it's 2I4. Bad memories will look good eventually, and they do now. I love this class. I think it's confirmed that I'm going to SMTP, since I'm shortlisted for SMP. And I joined Gary's group! Cos Keefe is kicked out. And so this problem is solved. Just wondering if it's CSE or IP that I'm going. Maybe they'll move me to IP due to my A2 in English. Gahh. But at least I get to be with my consortium mates if that happens. :D A busy week ahead (half of it, more of). Have to get ready. -8:28:00 PM
