провидение - A Silver Lining
Ah great. Concert tomorrow. I seriously hope I won't screw up. Haven't practiced a lot, and have been faking some parts. And Jiaquan just totally screwed up my feelings yesterday by mistaking me for Hancheng due to my "faking", and he was trying very hard to let me accept the fact that I faked 80% of the time. I don't know how much of my confidence is left. It's in fact quite amazing that the part I'm looking forward to is actually the Amazing Race, and not the concert. Hell, why is it that my parents couldn't make it when I have a confident performance, and yet when I'm not confident they'll be able to turn up. Actually this is the first time I'm playing in a full symphony orchestra, and playing a whole symphony, which includes the 4 movements. Well, my stamina is not that great. For the first time I hate the C-string. Amazing Race would be quite great, cos it's at Orchard Road and it sounds quite well-organised, although some parts are still not that great. But my main worry now is that I may not be able to finish my homework. Nevermind, I'll just hand up late. Guess teachers will understand. Have missed about 1 day's worth of lessons in 2 days. 37th HSC Invest. 2nd year. Let's go. -9:13:00 PM

I don't care if there were some random things today that made the day seem real sucky.
It just takes a few things to cover these sucky events and make the day a great one. And an example would be today. TODAY WAS AWESOME!!! I LOVED TODAY!!! =D =D Hope everyday can be like today, in the positive aspects :D -11:14:00 PM

Week two of school. Feels not-so-good, but I'm still surviving, more or less.
And my survival for this week would be thanks to ISYF, because it gave us the opportunity to miss about 1.5 hrs of lesson on Tuesday, and about 3 hours of lesson today (actually it was 1/2 hr English, recess, reading period and level assembly, so nothing much). But obviously ISYF was much more interesting than lessons in class. I'm finally starting to recover (albeit very slowly) from Maths brain blockages. Maths lessons for the past week were really torturing me. Just can't get algebra right, and have been failing terribly in fact. Doing quite okay in sciences. Chem is getting complicated but I'm still managing well. And looking forward to practicals (= I failed SMP again. OMG. Guess we'll self-propose. iCMC contacts were real fail. No one bothered collecting, and I had to go class by class, and it's not effective at all. And finally met some Lower Sec iCMC members at the make-up training today. Argh. There must be some direction set, please. Sec 1 Parents' Symposium. Argh, I'm doing signages. Gahh. At least I get mobile ushering for a while. I hoped to get consortium IC actually (partially because of the walkie-talkie) but since the whole consortium voted for Yau Xuan and he wanted it himself, I just gave in. And lucky I didn't get reception manager or programme booklets distributing. Have done these last year and I'm very sian about it. HCISO sec 1 auditions. I need to call people but my mother's on the phone -.- and I don't want to waste my HP money. Argh, let's wait. Short and sweet post. Not that free anymore. Time for serious stuff. -8:42:00 PM

Some Call This Poetry (From Mr Sua's Blog)
If you take A sentence And break it up Into Many Short Parts And include some breaks So it looks like There are Stanzas Some people Might sometimes think Inexplicably That what you have Created Is not a sentence (Without punctuation) But poetry. -10:05:00 PM

Aha school started proper, kind of.
First day wasn't really pleasing. First thing that happened was that Yau Xuan got transferred to 3S1, so I'm left with no one that I'm really close with in 3S2. Next, our class mentor told us that we would be using laptops for lessons. Then we were told (rather indirectly) that we can't attend consortium assemblies, and that our welfare will be mostly under the care of the CSE group of teachers. Ahh. Second day went on quite well. I was lucky to have brought no textbooks at all, as we didn't use any after all. But the tests and exams sounded exceptionally scary, with 3 papers for maths and 2 papers for each science for EOY exams. And PBL is going to be quite stressful since it'll be a big one with marks for maths and all three sciences. Chemistry seemed quite important, and the teacher was quite serious (while being so jokingly, how ironic), with a small quiz that seemed rather tricky but not that hard. English this week would be taken up by diagnostic tests, and that would be a great torture. iCMG meeting tomorrow! Please, iCMG, please make this year a successful one. It can't afford to fail. Whoohoo. Great. I have a darn ulcer on my lip, thanks to Sunday's talk. And it's hurting like hell, especially when I eat or drink. And if I don't drink enough my lips will be very dry and it'll start to hurt again. Ahhhh. And my nose is sort of uncontrollable, especially in air-con rooms like my classroom. ): I'm sort of ready for lessons. Just need to prepare my laptop. Not much books anyway. Let's see how it goes. -6:23:00 PM

The talk is over! It was this thing at some tuition centre, and Gary, Yuhao and I went to give a talk to some sec 1s about secondary school life. And yeah supposedly we're given half an hour in total but then we rattled on for an hour more. Ouch. And apparently Jiaxin was chased around by this girl from Crescent who totally looked like Stella (thankfully she's Sec 2 this year, or else I'd have thought it was Stella). And in the middle of our talk this girl from RGS came in (Sec 2 too), and was quite cute when she giggled and laughed but was more of the ignorant type. She contributed a small section, and for once I found someone who had the same situation as me in P6, regarding 3rd language. And these two people are totally anti-council (cos they didn't get accepted) ;p.
And for speaking I got this mini vacuum cleaner thing, which is quite cute but not very useful. Well despite not getting CIP, it's still a good experience! And the three of us ate at Bugis Junction food court, and we all got Pepper Lunch Express. I could have gotten something better if I was not lacking cash. So the others treated me to a dessert. Yay. And we were talking about all sorts of weird stuff in council. (*hint hint* inside stuff so I can't declare) *** School's starting. And I still don't know how to reach school in time tomorrow. Seems totally impossible even if I take the 1st 151. And I don't want to take cab... CSE orientation tomorrow, and what icebreakers and stuff, and I'll still have to go to string orch after that. Is it so hard to escape under Mr Sze? And even if we go back it'll only be barely an hour left. iCMG. Currently it's quite good to have many people who are enthusiastic to serve in iCMG ExCo. Hope this batch would be awesome. What's wrong with using a laptop bag as a normal sling bag? -9:14:00 PM

Ignite, Drive! SOO'10 AWESOME!!!
Alright, SOO is over. It was the best of the 3 I have gone through so far! The sec 1s seemed most enthu, and no major screw ups. And GROUP SIX WAS FANTASTIC!!! Although they were not the best group they certainly did their best. And this group is super random and inquisitive. But they'll now be on my new "stalkers list". Great. Three days. My feet and legs hurt from running, my arms hurt from cheering actions and flag-waving, and my throat, tongue and jaw hurt from cheering. Ouch. And I have a really sexy voice now. And I swear, I lost a few KGs thanks to SOO. =) And I loved how we ended off. Buddies assembled at Ops Room, a little bit of briefing for the next day, and then teachers left. We spammed three-cheers from OT personnel, Ops and Logs rooms, all the way to the universe. Then we got outside to do cheers marathon, yay. And sing the school song, conduct songs, and a few random songs. And that's how I got my sexy voice. Then we spent our next half an hour or so trying to bond and dunk people. Hehe so fun! The whole "end off debrief" took 1 hour. Now I can get a good night's sleep and prepare for tomorrow afternoon's EP3 Orientation. Hope I can get the class I want. Haha. And then on Friday will be iCouncil Assembly, and Saturday Flag-Selling CIP and Piano (which to go), and finally give a talk on Sunday morning. My first week is worse than a normal school week. But totally enjoyable. *** HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PUIJENG!!! =D Hope you'll stay as AWESOME as ever!!! *** Now I have SMP and the random talk on Sunday which I need to settle. And iCMG ExCo. Let's see how it goes. Am I ready for school? -11:43:00 AM

There goes 2009.
And I think I didn't achieve much in the past year. And if I think a little further, flash, there goes lower sec. In just a few days I'll walk into school as a senior to half the school population. And I didn't really enjoy much of my years as a junior. Waste. It'll definitely be a more exciting life in upper sec. Looking forward to a little more specialisation, more project opportunities, advising OTs (if I manage to get one), and overseas trips. But yet there are obviously a million times more things that I don't want to face. Whatever's the case, I'm ready to die. Happy new year. *** Yesterday my father dragged me down to play a bit of basketball, and after failing my shots most of the time and laughing at how this group of random people failed their volleyball surfs, I suddenly remembered that in sec 1 I wanted to join a sports CCA but yet my parents disapproved of it. Volleyball accepted me, and my height should qualify for basketball. It was a fantastic opportunity, but yet I'm forced to drop it. Till now I still don't get why my parents won't let me get a sports CCA. And after missing that, I'm left with no more. *** What happened to SMP, darn it. Is it that hard to get a project? Gary and Oxy we must Jiayou jiayou jiayou. *** Ignite, Drive! SOO'10 GO GO GO!!! SOO is tomorrow, and I can't screw up. My last SOO, better make it a good one. It's countdown, we've just begun. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Hwachong! -4:09:00 PM
